Varun Gandhi.

Varun Gandhi, Bhartiya Janata Party MP from Sultanpur constituency said the day he will leave BJP, it will be his “last day in politics”. He said this during an interview with Times of India.

Responding to a question, Varun said, “I joined the BJP 15 years ago. The day I joined the BJP I said that the day I will leave the party will be the day that I pack my bags and will leave the politics. What was true then is true now.”

Talking about the Lok Sabha election, Gandhi said, “The SP and BSP alliance will not influence any votes in his constituency as voters are impressed with the works done by the Narendra Modi-led government in state and Centre as well.” He added that he is confident of BJP’s victory in this general election.

Varun Gandhi and his mother Maneka Gandhi have swapped their constituencies for this Lok Sabha election. While Pilibhit MP Maneka Gandhi will contest from Sultanpur, Varun, the Sultanpur MP, will contest from Pilibhit.
