Army chief General MM Naravane says when India is exporting medical supplies to fight coronavirus, Pakistan is exporting terror
Chief of the Army staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane said India is fighting the new coronavirus, Covid-19, pandemic and is lending a helping hand to other countries by exporting essential medical supplies, Pakistan is exporting terror.
The Army chief’s remarks came on Friday after his two-day visit to forward areas near the line of control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir. He was referring to the cross-border shelling on civilian settlements in the Kupwara sector which killed locals, including an eight-year-old boy.
Gen Naravane said, “While India is sending out medical teams to other countries and exporting medicines, Pakistan is only exporting terror.” He further said, “Pakistan claims to be a friend of Kashmiris. I want to know what sort of friend resorts to killing and spreading terror. I met our civilian people and reassured them of our commitment and support in ensuring peace, prosperity and stability to the region.”
