Naseeruddin Shah expresses shock on Bulandhshahr violence, says ‘cow’s death more significant than death of police officer’

While speaking to Karwan-e-Mohabbat India, on Monday, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah expressed concerns on Bulandshahr violence where the death of a cow has more significance than the death of a police officer.
Shah said that he doesn’t see the situation improving anytime soon and added, “In many areas, we are witnessing that the death of a cow has more significance than that of a police officer.”
He also said, “The poison has already spread and it is difficult to put this jinn back into the bottle. There is complete impunity for those who take law into their own hands.”
The actor, worrying about his children, added, “I feel anxious for my children because tomorrow if a mob surrounds them and asks, “are you a Hindu or a Muslim?” they will have no answer. It worries me because I don’t see the situation improving anytime soon.”
