Mayawati calls interim Budget ‘Modi government’s jumlebazi’

BSP chief Mayawati, on Friday, called the interim Union Budget presented by the BJP-led government “jumlebazi (empty rhetoric)”, which she claims to have “failed to address the ground realities”.

She claimed that economic inequality had grown in the country in the last five years with only a handful of capitalists benefitting, instead of farmers and the poor.

She said, “This is wrong and against the interest of the country,” and added, “… The last Budget of the BJP government before the elections is far from the ground reality and the bitter truth and is mostly jumlebazi.”

She further added, “Jumlebazi cannot change the destiny of the country and end longstanding problems like poverty, unemployment and inflation.”
