Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, on Sunday night, asked if Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s holy dip in the Ganga will wash away his sins of "poll promises, treachery and other wrong doings".

Hours after Modi visited Prayagraj to participate in the Kumbh Mela, Mayawati slammed him and tweeted: “Will a 'SHAHI' dip in Sangam by PM Modi be able to wash sins of reneging poll promises, treachery and other state wrongs sic]?”

The prime minister took a dip in the Ganga at Prayagraj, on Sunday.
