Om Prakash Rajbhar, UP MLA and BJP ally, gives ultimatum to government to implement 27% OBC quota in state

Om Prakash Rajbhar, president of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and MLA from Uttar Pradesh’s Zahoorabad constituency, has given a 100-day ultimatum to the Yogi Adityanath government to implement 27 per cent reservation for the other backwards classes in Uttar Pradesh.

Being an ally of the BJP government in the state, Rajbhar said that if the government fails to do so, then his party will have to think about some other alternative.

This demand has come after the recent action taken by the BJP government of giving 10 per cent quota to the “economical weaker section” of general caste.

This bill has already passed by both the Houses in Parliament and is now waiting for the president’s approval.
