Rahul Gandhi attacks Narendra Modi over Rafale again, says ‘truth will put PM in jail’

Congress president Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday, slammed the prime minister, Narendra Modi, over the Rafale issue yet again and said he “will go to jail” if truth in Rafale deal comes out in the open.
While addressing a rally in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, Gandhi said: “Truth will put Mr Narendra Modi in jail.” He said the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government had decided to give the “biggest defence deal in the world” to the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. However, he said, Modi “snatched” the deal and “gave it to Anil Ambani”.
Dassault has made Anil Ambani’s Reliance Defence Limited as an offset partner.
Gandhi said, “Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister in 2014. He snatches the contract from HAL and gives it to Anil Ambani. An aircraft worth ₹500 crore was purchased for ₹1,600 crore.”
Gandhi claimed Modi does not want the “truth” to come out in Rafale deal, because the “prime minister would go to jail if that happens”.
