Targeting Narendra Modi on rupee’s fall, Rahul Gandhi says ‘it’s not breaking, it’s broken’
Congress president Rahul Gandhi has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the depreciating value of the Indian rupee against the US dollar. On Wednesday, the rupee slid further against the dollar by 44 paise (0.59% of its Tuesday value).
Gandhi, in a tweet said the rupee is not breaking but is broken already.
#Breaking: Rupee slips to 73.77

It's not breaking - it's Broken.#Rupee
While asking what has happened to the prime minister’s much-touted “acche din”, Gandhi on Wednesday, tweeted the following:
रुपया गया 73 पार

महँगाई मचाए हाहाकार
तेल-गैस में लगी है आग
बाजार में मची भागम-भाग
ओ 56 इंच सीने वाले
कब तक चलेगा ‘साइलेंट मोड’
कहाँ है ‘अच्छे दिन का कोड’?#RupeeAt73
Earlier, when the rupee fell to Rs 70.09 against the US dollar in August, Gandhi had tweeted, “Modiji finally managed to do something that we couldn’t do in 70 years. For the first time, rupee breached the mark of 70.”
