We are beheading Pakistani soldiers, but not displaying them, Nirmala Sitharaman says

Defence minister Nirmala Sitharam said India was beheading Pakistani soldiers in tit-for-tat revenge for mutilating Indian soldiers, but not displaying them. She made this remark on India TV’s “Aap ki Adalat” show, which was broadcast on Saturday.

She was replying to host Rajat Sharma when he wondered if India was taking steps to “straighten” Pakistan whose soldiers were mutilating our jawans on the line of control, as promised by Narendra Modi during his 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign.

Rajat said, “During the election campaign, you people had said that if they cut two heads, we will cut ten heads. But 10 heads are not really being cut now.”

This led the audience to break into an applause. Following a pause, Sitharaman replied, “No. I can say that we are cutting off their heads but are not displaying them.”

This is the first time an Indian government official has publicly said anything as close to this in acknowledgment that the Indian Army is beheading of Pakistani soldiers during operations along the LOC.
