Yogi Adityanath.

New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Yogi Adityanath, during an election rally said the Congress has very close ties with anti-national forces. He said the manifesto of the Congress is shows its soft corner with insurgent groups.

Speaking at a BJP rally in Chhattisgarh’s Ambikapur under the Surguja Lok Sabha constituency, on Friday, Adityanath claimed that the Congress government in the state was not serious about tackling Naxalism and the killing of BJP MLA Bheema Mandavi in Dantewada proves this.

He said, “The Congress’s manifesto is an encouragement to terrorism and Naxalism. Congress ka hath deshdrohiyo ke sath (Congress’s hand is with anti-nationals),” adding the manifesto is an “encouragement to Naxalism and terrorism”.

He said the Congress must take responsibility for the Dantewada attack because the party rules Chhattisgarh now.

Then he went on to bring Lord Ram into his speech and said, “Lord Ram is associated with the memories of Chhattisgarh, but some people are now denying the existence of Ram … the Congress is raising questions over the existence of Ram. It was the Congress that raised questions over the Ram Setu and tried then to destroy it.”
