Ahmed Patel accuses Election Commission for delaying announcement of Lok Sabha poll dates for Narendra Modi
Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel, on Monday, asked the Election Commission, why they are not announcing dates for the 2019 general elections and taunted whether the poll body is waiting for the Prime Minister's “official” travel programme “to conclude”.
He also accused the poll body for giving so much time to the government to campaign at the cost of the state exchequer.
Patel tweeted the following:
Is the Election Commission waiting for the Prime Minister’s “official” travel programs to conclude before announcing dates for General Elections?
