Ahmed Patel says ‘Narendra Modi’s Mann ki Baat has come to a halt, now jan ki baat will prevail’
Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel, on Sunday, slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his monthly radio programme, he said the series of “Mann ki Baat” has come to a halt and now “jan ki baat” (people’s opinion) will prevail in the country.
This comment came in response with the prime minister suspending his monthly “Mann ki Baat” broadcast for March and April (as the election’s model code of conduct will come into play soon) and said he will be back with the programme on the last Sunday of May, when results of the Lok Sabha election are expected to be declared.
Tweeting in Hindi, Patel said: “Today the series of Mann ki Baat came to a halt. Now ‘jan ki baat’ will prevail in the country. You (people) will speak, we will listen … come, let’s move forward together.”
