Jammu & Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik says to not pay heed to ‘rumours’ on Article 35A

With the speculations rising on the Centre’s possible move to abrogate Article 35A, The Jammu & Kashmir governor, Satya Pal Malik, on Tuesday, asked the people of the state not to pay heed to rumours regarding the state’s special status.

While replying to a question on the deployment of additional forces and the slew of orders appearing on social media about the possibility of a prolonged law and order situation in the valley, Malik said, “A lot of rumours are spread here, do not pay any heed to them. Everything is fine, everything is normal.”

He added, “If someone catches a sneeze in Lal Chowk, by the time it reaches the governor’s house, it is projected as a bomb blast.”
