Rahul Gandhi says ‘Narendra Modi ran his government for his 15 friends’

The Congress chief, Rahul Gandhi, on Friday, while attacking the prime minister, Narendra Modi, claimed that the PM ran his government for 15 of his friends.
While addressing a poll rally in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, Gandhi asked why defaulters of bank loans, like Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi, are not in jail. He said, after failing to return the bank loans they ran away.
He further claimed that Narendra Modi, in his first five years of his premiership, ran the government for 15 people. “… These are Anil Ambani, Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi and they are Modi’s friends,” he said.
Gandhi then said, “If voted to power, no farmer is going to be put in jail for not paying back his bank loan, it is not fair that the richest people do not go to jail, but farmers go to jail for the same offence.”
