Smriti Irani hits back at Rahul Gandhi for taunting Narendra Modi’s dubious award, says ‘unlike others, Congress family conferred country’s top honor on themselves’
After the Rahul Gandhi’s sarcastic tweet “congratulating” the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on receiving the dubious “Philip Kotler Presidential Award”, Smriti Irani, on Tuesday, hit back on the Congress president.
She said, that the Congress family instead of awarded by others, they had conferred the country’s top honour (Bharat Ratna) on themselves.
In the counter, Irani, while tagging Rahul Gandhi’s tweet, argued that unlike the prime minister, who was awarded by someone else, “Gandhi family members had conferred upon themselves” the country’s top civilian honour.
Rich !!! Coming from a person whose illustrious family decided to confer the ‘Bharat Ratna’ on themselves. https://t.co/ipzyRrXNiX
