UP BJP MLA Surendra Singh says ‘Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka are Ravana and Shurpanakha, Narendra Modi is Lord Ram’

BJP MLA Surendra Singh from Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia compared the Congress president, Rahul Gandhi, and his sister, Priyanka Gandhi, to the Ramayana characters Ravana and Surpanakha respectively.
While he compared the roles Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi with the Ravana and Surpanakha, he said that Narendra Modi is the lord Ram.
He said, “My Modi is in the role of Lord Ram and Congress president Rahul Gandhi is Ravana and his sister Priyanka Surpanakha.”
“Ravana has put up his sister against my Ram”, he said, “Rest assured that Lanka will be conquered,” the BJP legislator said referring to Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra’s entry into politics.
He added, “By appointing Priyanka as (Congress) general secretary, Rahul has already proved his incapability to fight against Modi. Now the brother and the sister will fight together.”
