Digvijaya Singh trolls Navjot Singh Sidhu over his ‘friend’ Imran Khan
Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, on Tuesday, trolled ex-cricketer and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Twitter over the ex-cricketer’s comments after the Pulwama terror attack that an “entire nation can’t be held responsible”. Singh urged Sidhu to convince his “friend” and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to act against terrorists.
Khan, in a televised address, rubbished India’s accusations against his country and said Pakistan will act if India provides it with “actionable evidence” against Pakistanis involved in the suicide attack.
In a series of tweets Singh said: “Navjot Singh Sidhu ji apne dost Imran bhai ko samjhaiye. Uskii vajah se aap ko gali padh rahi hai (Convince your friend Imran. You (Sidhu) are getting abused because of him).”

He also tweeted: “I know Modi supporters are going to troll me for this, but I don’t care. Imran Khan a cricketer who I admire, can’t take on these Muslim fundamentalists and ISI sponsored terrorist groups, I can’t believe.”

Sidhu’s comments drew a lot of flak from the opposition and also on social media. Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh had to issue a clarification backing him. Even comic Kapil Sharma, whose show has Sidhu as a regular, came under pressure to sack him.
